What Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to provide you with career guidance services.
Information you give us directly:
- Your name and email address when you create an account
- Your password — stored securely encrypted by Supabase, never readable by us
- Resume information — name, job title, work experience, education, skills, achievements
- Career quiz answers and results
- Interview practice sessions and scores
- Job applications you track in our tracker
- Language preference settings
Information collected automatically:
- Your IP address — used for security and fraud prevention only
- Browser type and device information — used to improve compatibility
- Pages visited on our site — used to improve the service
Information we do NOT collect:
- We do not collect payment information — we do not charge users at this time
- We do not collect your location beyond what you voluntarily enter
- We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers
How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to provide and improve OnlyLaunchMe services:
- To create and manage your account
- To save your resume, quiz results, and job applications
- To personalise your career quiz results and job matches
- To generate AI-powered career summaries, resume bullet points, and interview feedback
- To send you account confirmation and password reset emails
- To improve the platform based on how users interact with it
✦ We never use your data for advertising. OnlyLaunchMe is ad-free. We do not profile you for advertising purposes or share your data with advertising networks.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data in these limited circumstances:
- Supabase — Our database and authentication provider stores your account data securely. Supabase is GDPR compliant and SOC 2 certified.
- Anthropic Claude AI — When you use AI features your text prompts are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. We do not send your full profile — only the specific text needed for each AI task. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models.
- Adzuna — When you search for jobs your search keywords and country selection are sent to Adzuna's API to retrieve job listings.
- Resend — We use Resend to send confirmation and password reset emails. They receive only your email address.
- Vercel — Our website is hosted on Vercel. They process web traffic data as part of hosting.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and have implemented multiple layers of protection:
- Row Level Security (RLS) — Every table in our database is protected so each user can only access their own data. It is technically impossible for one user to see another user's resume or information.
- HTTPS encryption — All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS.
- Password hashing — Your password is never stored in plain text. It is hashed using bcrypt by Supabase before storage.
- API key protection — All AI API keys are stored on our secure server — never in your browser.
- Email confirmation — New accounts require email verification to prevent unauthorised access.

Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — You can view all your data by logging into your account at any time
- Correction — You can edit your information directly in your account
- Deletion — You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing legal@onlylaunchme.com. We will delete your data within 30 days.
- Export — You can request a copy of your data by emailing legal@onlylaunchme.com
- Opt out of emails — You can unsubscribe from any non-essential emails at any time

Cookies
OnlyLaunchMe uses minimal cookies:
- Session cookies — Used to keep you logged in. These are deleted when you close your browser or sign out.
- Preference cookies — Used to remember your language setting. These are stored locally on your device.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.
Children's Privacy
OnlyLaunchMe is intended for users aged 14 and older in line with the minimum legal working age in the United States under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child under 14 has provided us with personal information please contact us at legal@onlylaunchme.com and we will delete it immediately.
Users aged 14 to 17 should use OnlyLaunchMe with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. OnlyLaunchMe is designed to help young people aged 14 and above find their first job and build their career.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion we will remove all your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
AI-generated content such as career summaries and interview feedback that you have not saved to your account is not retained by us after your session ends.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on the website. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
By continuing to use OnlyLaunchMe after changes are made you agree to the updated policy.
